    Two Ph.D. positions and one Postdoc position in an interdisciplinary project supported by NWO on Saint Paul's conception of faith in contemporary continental philosophy: the project description and the vacancy page.



    My name is Gert-Jan van der Heiden. I hold a PhD in both mathematics (University of Groningen, 2003) and philosophy (Radboud University Nijmegen, 2008) and teach philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Radboud University Nijmegen.

    At the moment, I'm a NWO-VENI fellow and work on a project on concepts of plurality, which is funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).

    I'm also a member of The Young Academy of the Royal Netherlands Academy for Arts and Sciences (KNAW).

    In June 2012, the following book will be published by Vantilt, Nijmegen: De stem van de doden. Hermeneutiek als spreken namens de ander. (Translated title: The Voice of the Dead. Hermeneutics as Speaking for the Other)

    I published The Truth (and Untruth) of Language: Heidegger, Ricoeur, and Derrida on Disclosure and Displacement. Pittsburgh: Duquesne University Press, 2010.

    Together with Karel Novotny (Prague), Inga Römer (Wuppertal) and Laszlo Tengelyi (Wuppertal), I edited Investigating Subjectivity. Classical and New Perspectives. Boston/Leiden: Brill, 2011.

    This is volume 6 of the series Studies in Contemporary Phenomenology.
